Trust & Safety Policy

Trust is the foundation of GigCouncil (GC) and your security is our top priority. We will do our best to protect our members. In addition, it also provides important tools for safely using the marketplace, whether you buy or sell services.

Employer’s Security

Choosing a Freelancer

GigCouncil helps you choose the right freelancer for your project by providing feedback on freelance projects and achievements on the platform.

Make smart choices with GC’s wealth of freelance expertise, including:

  • Reviews are an important tool for evaluating a freelancer’s performance in previous GigCouncil (GC) jobs.
  • Maintain communication on the platform.

Keep communications on the platform

The GC platform saved all messages related to a specific project. It is also an important document to refer to in case of ambiguity and is the only prohibition used to ensure a fair outcome in the unlikely event that the assistance of GigCouncil (GC) is required to resolve an independent dispute.

Deposit and Release Funds

To protect both buyers and freelancers, we offer a secure system that allows buyers to deposit money at the start of a project. As soon as the desired amount appears in the GC system, the freelancer starts the project. The employer will release the freelancer’s money after the project is completed, thus guaranteeing 100% satisfaction of the buyer.

Pay Only Through GigCouncil (GC)

Payments outside of GigCouncil (GC) are dangerous and risky. We are not responsible if you use these types of activations. Unfortunately, GC cannot support externally paid projects and services. This is a serious violation of our privacy and security policy.

Freelancer’s Security

Sellers receive an order automatically if the buyer liked the services, and the submitted proposals are accepted if the seller performs the work. Be especially careful if you have never worked with employers before. It can be difficult, but if you’re worried about it, it’s best to stay away. If the portfolio is not sufficient, send the sample with the appropriate watermark to the GC communication platform. Beware of buyers who ask for free work samples or offer free trials and promise more work (if needed).

Regulations for Posting Projects

There are few rules that buyers must follow when promoting their projects. These rules are designed to ensure that the GC platform works well for everyone. These guidelines form part of our General Conditions. Projects that violate these guidelines will be removed and we will always contact you to let you know why so any necessary adjustments can be made.

Unauthorized projects:

Any kind of work can be delivered as a GigCouncil (GC) project. The only things that are prohibited are:

  • Offers of long-term employment, joint ventures, partnerships or franchises. Only freelance services are available on GigCouncil (GC) .
  • Unpaid labor, profit or revenue sharing, commission-only arrangements, or compensation for goods or services rendered. All projects must have a fixed price or an offer rate for payment.
  • Spam, prohibited service requests, unauthorized posts, or posts posted solely to promote another company or website.
  • Requests for likes, followers, or product or service ratings made on social media (or evidence carefully evaluated in our discretion that the buyer actually requested an artificial service)

Do:

Describe your project, the nature of the expected results and the deadlines or timelines in as much detail as possible. The more clearly you explain what you need, the more effectively you can get the best freelancer for the job and make you an acceptable offer. Attract quality freelancers by giving the project a reasonable budget. If you don’t know what’s possible, check out the related projects. All GigCouncil (GC) projects must have a minimum budget of $5.

Don’t:

Ask for samples as part of your quote. This is done to prevent possible exploitation of freelancers. You can also view samples of an independent portfolio or purchase a product to try with a small amount. Include your full name or contact information in each part of the project description or name. As this policy is primarily for your protection, posting contact information on public websites is not recommended. Direct freelancers to another site to review project information. The project description should include all the details a freelancer needs to submit a quote.

Use the GigCouncil (GC) Communication System for all communications.

All communication services related to a given project, including all important agreements such as deliverables and deadlines, are stored in the GC communication system. In the rare event that a customer seeks GigCouncil (GC) support to resolve a dispute, the GigCouncil (GC) communication platform is used as the only tangible evidence to reach a valid conclusion.

Only accept payments through GigCouncil (GC)

On this GigCouncil (GC) platform, the system creates an invoice and arranges payment for the buyer after the work is completed.

Avoid sharing personal information

Exchanging personal contact information should be avoided if possible, especially before accepting an offer or buying an offer and receiving funds into their GigCouncil (GC) account. Never give out bank details, IDs or addresses to anyone you meet online, on GigCouncil (GC) or elsewhere. Don’t forget that you have full access to the GigCouncil platform for communication, including sharing files and sharing portfolio samples. So every user has to do maintenance and all our platforms. Also, all payments are made securely through the GigCouncil (GC) platform.

Reporting Abuse

The GigCouncil (GC) customer support team is always available to help if you have a specific question or want to take action against someone involved. Don’t be afraid to call our attention. Alternatively, you can report problems immediately using the report button on all user profiles, messages and home pages.
